Sandra attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Radio, TV, Film and a Master’s Degree in Educational Media. She loved all things Bulldog and she was her Daddy’s girl. Sandra was employed by McDonald's Corporation as a Community Relations Representative, the US Postal Service and as a Media Specialist for the Duval County School System. She was a “Teacher of the Year” and a Princeton Scholar at Mandarin Middle School. She was also involved with Pampered Chef and became a director.
Sandy was a talented photographer. She loved her family, kids, rescue dogs and bears.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lewis E. Hay, and her son Charles E. Hay of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her infant son, John Samuel Hay, her father, Charles M. Smith and her mother, Eileen Smith of Miami and her brother, Jack Smith of Hampton, Georgia.
Interment will be at the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, Georgia.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 26 at 10:00 AM, Hardage Giddens Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223.
