Born in Jacksonville, FL on October 29, 1941 to the late June and Frank Marjenhoff, Sally lived in Jacksonville until moving to St. Augustine in 1995 residing there until her death. Sally attended Landon High School where she would meet her future husband, Stewart Murdock. Sally owned and operated with Stewart several successful businesses in Jacksonville, Economy Decorators and The Pig BBQ. Sally was an avid gator fan and enjoyed home and away games for several decades with Stewart. Sally had a love of traveling with her childhood girlfriends around the country. Sally’s motto was that her bags were always packed. She was always ready for a new adventure. Sally loved dancing-never missing an episode of Dancing with the Stars. She frequented The Alhambra and The Times Union Theatre for the Arts on a regular basis. She was predeceased in death by her parents and husband.
Sally is survived by her three loving sons; Stewart (Stewie) Murdock, Mike Murdock, and Chris (Kelly) Murdock; her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Jo Marjenhoff; her grandchildren, Mike (April) Murdock, Kristen (James) Murdock, Erika (Joey) Resch, Chris (Ashley) Murdock, Elias Murdock and Elissa Murdock; great-grandchildren, Ella, Cora, Michael, Greyson, Isla, Gemma, Rhett, Freya and baby Sutton due to arrive in November 2021.
The family would like to thank Sally’s close friends who were there throughout her illness, helping the family in any way possible; JoAnne Jensen, Charlene Howell, Pat Holt Williams, Betty Moore, Donna Cowart, Rebecca Collins and Tracy Chism.
Graveside services in honor of Sally will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
