Ryan James Deaton, 30, beloved son, brother, nephew and friend died suddenly on December 20, 2010. He was born November 7, 1980 in Jacksonville, Florida, and was a native and lifelong resident. Ryan had a passion for working out with his brother, who was also his very dearest friend. They loved going to Jaguar games together and going out for wings afterwards. They played basketball and football together as well as their favorite game of Madden Football. Ryan was an avid reader and could outdo anyone in the daily crossword puzzles. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a tremendous love of life. He loved his family very much. Ryan touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. He was a true ray of sunshine in his family’s hearts.
Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents, Jim and Dolores Deaton and his uncle Jim Deaton. He is survived by his Mother and Father, Barbara and Tony Drabek; Brother, Christopher Drabek; Sisters ,Cheri Hawes of Virginia and Cathy of Australia; Uncle Bradford Deaton of Orlando, Aunt Gwendolyn Sweetapple of Atlanta; Biological Father Richard Nelson of Arkansas , the only girl he ever loved Alicia Kicklighter and Great Uncle Richard Hunt of S. Carolina.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 24, 2010 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted by Reverend Richard Petry, December 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
