Ruth L Gruber

Ruth L. Gruber (Tad Barnes), age 83, went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2011. Ms. Gruber, graduated from Landon High School, Massey Business College, and retired from the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office. She is predeceased by her Father-Louis Mace Barnes, her Mother-Emma Bellis Barnes, former Husband- Jack W. Gruber Sr., and her Brother-Ross E Barnes. She is survived by her children, Jack W. Gruber Jr., James "Mickey" Gruber, Joseph M. Gruber, Barbara A. Crawford, and Kim M Arthur. Along with 12 Grandchildren and 11-1/2 Great Grandchildren. Interment by cremation, by Greenlawn Cemetery. Please join us for a celebration of her life. Church services will begin at 11a.m. on Saturday, October 1st, 2011, at Coral Ridge Baptist Ministries, located at 2967 Huffman Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32246. Memorial Celebration Service for Ruth "Tad Barnes" Gruber

October 10, 1927 - September 15, 2011

Mom fought a good fight. She made her peace and path with God, and existed her soul to heaven, very peacefully. I was right there with her. It was the most peaceful thing I've ever experienced. We would really love to have you with our family, for this celebration of Mom's life.

The services will be Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11am to start at the Church... Coral Ridge Baptist Ministries... 2967 Huffman Blvd., out by The Alhambra Theater, Beach Blvd... Then Graveside services for whomever wants to attend at 2pm at Greenlawn Cemetery on Beach Blvd, The Garden of St. Luke, in the back... followed by a Picnic Lunch Celebration at Love Lace Park, located at 6401 Barnes Rd S at 3pm... Ya'll come now, ya hear!!! Bring whatever food you desire... Thanks - Kim Gruber-Miller-Arthur

If you are going to bring food, please provide yourself with a cooler, for we will have a long day, before we get to the park. No alcohol permitted. We did have to pull a city permit for this event. Please honor the rules. Thank you.
