Ruby A. Scott

Ruby A. Scott, 88, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2013 at, Acosta Rua Community Hospice. She was born in Savannah, GA, and was known for her zest for life and independent spirit. Ruby enjoyed many pursuits, most especially ballroom dancing and quilting.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 35 years, Russell James Scott, her son James Scott, and son-in-law JD Rentz.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Geneva Rentz, Sandi Rowzee(Steve), Rhonda Dolan (Jim); Grandchildren Steven Rowzee, Jr. (Tonya), Greg Rowzee (Audra), Travis Dolan, Allison Dolan; great grandchildren Brandon, Chelsey, Sydney, Jacob, Brennan, and Cooper Rowzee.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 6-8 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home 729 S. Edgewood Ave, Jacksonville. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 18, 10 AM at Riverside Park United Methodist Church, 819 Park St., Jacksonville, with a reception immediately following. Burial will follow at 2 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Community Hospice or Riverside Park United Methodist Church.
