Ross Vincent Urso Jr.

Ross Vincent Urso Jr. passed away peacefully October 22, 2023 after his battle with cancer. His courage was an inspiration to all who knew him. Ross was born on July 14, 1982 and grew up in Jacksonville, FL. He graduated from Sandalwood High School in 2002. After graduation he was employed by Target Corporation in Mandarin, where he was a dedicated employee for 21 years. He loved working under the leadership of Michelle Crumpler. Ross loved watching sports especially the Gators, Jaguars and Mets. He loved going to the Jaguar games with his Godfather Kenneth Horn. Family and friends were important to Ross. He will be greatly missed but will be remembered for how much he enjoyed family trips, events, holidays and spending time with family & friends.

He is survived by his parents Ross and Susan Urso, his sisters Jennifer Merida (Michael) and Angela Urso. Niece Gabrielle Merida, Nephew Anthony Merida (Godson), Aunts, Josephine Wheatley (Godmother), MaryAnn Harmon, Sandra Starling. Uncles, Bill Starling, Frank Urso, Dan Hovis and many cousins. A special thanks to his pediatric group Doctors Horn, Lazoff, Granat, Walker and more recent Doctors Gordon Polley, Unni Thomas and Richard Cassidy, for the care they gave to Ross.

A visitation and rosary for Ross will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 6:00 PM. with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. A funeral mass will take place Thursday, October 26, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11757 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258, with a burial immediately after.
