A graveside service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 1:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held, at a time and date to be determined later, at Midnight Cry Ministry Church, 1371 Hammond Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221.
Rosielee was born on March 14, 1933 in Pike County, Majestic, KY to the late Paris and Rittie Lester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester “Les” Horsley; son, Dennis Horsley; daughter, Teresa Horsley White; sister, Opal Ferrell; brothers, Vernon Lester and Lamuel Lester; and grand-daughter, Karen.
She was a member of the Midnight Cry Ministry Church, attending as long as she was physically able. She worked at Dillard Department Store for 21 years before her retirement in 1992. Though unassuming by nature, her fun and loving personality endeared Rosielee to all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed family vacations and doing things with both her family and church family.
Rosielee gave willingly and generously to family, friends, and neighbors. Her smile and easy laughter will be treasured by those she loved and who loved her.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Lee Horsley; sister, Opal Fay Stephenson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly requesting that donations be made in Rosielee’s memory to her church, Midnight Cry Ministry.
