Rosemary Graves Fipps, 58, passed away at home surrounded by her husband and children on Thursday, August 26, 2021, ending a hard fought and courageous battle against cancer. Rosemary was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 16, 1962, the daughter of Edward and Rose Graves.
A native Floridian, Rosemary enjoyed time at the beach looking for shark’s teeth with her husband Jeff. Rosemary cherished her husband and children and adored her six grandchildren. Her happiest times were when she was surrounded by them and enjoying delicious meals that she prepared and baking wonderful desserts. She took great pride in knowing the favorite dish and dessert of each family member and in preparing and surprising them with it. Rosemary was kind and supportive of all her family, encouraging them in their careers, education and artistic endeavors.
A caregiver by nature, Rosemary provided tender, loving care for her family. She was noted for her kind and gentle touch and her rapid response to any need. Rosemary faced every challenge with thoughtful love, courage and stamina. She loved to give. One of her favorite sayings was “give and you shall receive.” Her strength to fight her cancer to her last breath will always be an inspiration to her family and friends. Until her last day she wanted her family to know how much she loved them. Her frequent smiles and warm hugs will be missed.
Rosemary will be lovingly remembered by her survivors. Her love of God and family was inspiring and unwavering. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jeffrey Fipps; her children Tabitha Hill (Darrell), Christina Sweat (Joey Carrasquillo), Nicole Quintero (Chris) and Austin Fipps, Father; Edward Graves and siblings; Levi Boree (Karan), Lilly Korey (Freddie), Shirley Conners, Edward Graves (Mary), James Graves (Angela), and Gloria Pittman (Gary); her 6 grandchildren; Hailey Pausche, Ayden Quintero, Olivia Hill, Nathan Hill, Isaiah Carrasquillo and Isabel Carrasquillo.
