Roger David Boston, 61, passed away November 3, 2022. He was born in Jacksonville and graduated from Englewood High School. He was employed as a printer, a paralegal, and retired from ARS, a debt collection company he founded in 1995. Throughout his life, his passion for beauty was reflected in his lawns and landscaping abilities, a talent he learned from his father. He was a wonderful caretaker of his parents and of his elderly widowed neighbors in their twilight years. In honor of his parents, together with his sister, he hosted the annual family reunion in Lake City, Florida, for many years, which attracted family members throughout the south. He had a passion for cats and domestic animals.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Ron Smith, their children, Cheri Smith, Ron Smith, Jr., and Shaun Smith; brother Ray Boston and sister-in-law Becking Iddings; brother Donald Boston and sister-in-law Judy Boston, and nieces and nephews. The family is grateful to and thank Clyde Collins and John Green, his many friends, the internet and twitter cat blog followers, and the medical staff at Baptist MD Anderson and Community Hospice.
