Robin D. Moore died November 16, 2015, in Jacksonville after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. He was 65. Mr. Moore graduated from Englewood High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University in Asian Studies. He built a business as a craftsman in Tallahassee where he practiced his craft for 40 years. He recently retired and returned to Jacksonville. He was a skilled craftsman, an avid paddler, a voracious reader, a gifted photographer, an adventuresome traveler, a connoisseur of fine art and good cigars, a very good cook, a lifelong member of the AB All Stars of Kellum Hall, a devoted husband, and a doting father.
He is survived by his wife of over 33 years, Sandra Stockwell; his daughter, Carrie Moore, and her husband, Kyle Legette, and their son, Gavin; his sons, Jason Stoutamire and Jeremy Moore; Jason’s fiancée, Sara Woolard; his brother, Gary Moore and Gary’s wife, Kathy; his mother, Helen Pritchard Moore; his devoted canine companion, Charlie; and many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Julian Paul Moore, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, on Friday, November 20, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No services are planned. The family extends its appreciation to Community Hospice for the care of their husband and father. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Sontag Foundation for medical research into brain cancer.
