A lifelong resident, Bob is best known as a homebuilder in the Jacksonville area with his brother Bill under the name Weyer Brothers. He proudly served in the US Army and National Guard, and along with his 3 brothers earned the honor of Eagle Scout. He was a founding member and past president of the Julington Creek Athletic Association and dedicated 10 years on the St. Augustine/St. Johns County Recreation Department Board.
Preceded in death by his son, Robert Chapman Weyer, Jr., he is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Joyce A. Weyer; daughter, Karlene Phillips (Dave); son, T.J. Weyer (Michele); brother, Terry Weyer; sisters, Betty Kelly (Bill) and Nancy Walker (Inky); grandchildren, Tamara and Jessi Phillips, Chase and Morgan Weyer; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks for the loving care provided by the memory care staff at Wyndham Lakes and Community Hospice.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 5th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Pastor Wesley Slough as Officiant, followed by interment in Mandarin Cemetery.
