Robert Carl Ward

Robert Carl Ward, 86, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 at his home in Mooresville, North Carolina. He was in the company of his loving family and in the devoted care of hospice. Born in Pensacola, Florida, son of Rueben C Ward and Lou Murphy Ward. Robert grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School ‘1952 and Samford University. Prudential Insurance Company employed him for 42 years serving in Jacksonville, Birmingham, Atlanta, and Charlotte, NC. Professional designations included Fellow of the Life Management Institute and Charlotte Life Underwriter. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Tate Ward, daughters Susan Huckeba of Dacula, GA, Catherine Giles of Loganville, GA, and Rachel Angell of Huntersville, NC: 8 beloved grandsons and 1 great grandson. A service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida. For family and friends, there will be a visitation in the chapel of Hardage- Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd Jacksonville, Florida 32205 on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 10:00AM, followed by a graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park.

Facemasks & sanitation station will be available. The 8 grandsons will have the honor to be pallbearers.
