I met Robert 4 yrs. ago at the Rooster, our local biker bar. They started a pool competition Swedish doubles. We kept getting partnered up to the point it became a joke that I thought the head guy was doing it on purpose. We became friends & he would send me a passage every morning reminding me God was always with no matter what. Even though I was not ready to get into a relationship he never wavered from being my friend & always had a shoulder for me to cry on & great comforting hugs.
Once I said yes to a date it was a whole new world to me. He taught me how to live , love & laugh again. But most of all he reminded me of the Glory of God.
We had a tough year & it broke my heart that not everyone could see his HEART. I did, my mom & kids did & most of all my grandkids did. They adored him. For this I am forever grateful to have had him in my life. Though not nearly long enough  I truly know he loved me & I truly love him & will forever hold him & his family in my heart & my prayers.

Bobby was always in the mix with us girls. The boys were definitely outnumbered on our block. He was so mischievous and bigger than life. We used to play gas station at the end of the driveway. His mom had a beautiful tulip tree and we would pull the flowers off the tree and pretend they were money, I’m sure we got in trouble for that. We would swing in the back yard, pick apples, ride bikes, sled and skate at Shirley Lake. As well play in the woods. We would all gather around the tv after school and watch dark shadows us girls and he was always right there in the mix. He loved comic books and had a lot of them. His Mom, Fran (beautiful lady), always had us doing things for the community. We would all sit around the table, in the dining room, and stuff candy in empty toilet  paper rolls then wrap in Christmas paper and tie the ends. These went to the orphanage. We were dirty birdie bicycle slealers. And Mr E was always looming around! Bobby was a free spirit he will be missed. Fly high my Friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Bob mostly from our junior high school days. He built an incredible tree house behind the jCC, including running the line for a telephone. We had many fun times! Bob was energetic, funny and very kind. I am sorry his life was cut short. May his memory be a blessing.

A trooper  good guy  will be missed and remembered....

 To find out you are gone is a pain too much to bear.  I prayed it wasn't you when I read the news.  My heart is shattered.

Robert was a good man. He was a exceptional Christian and believed strongly in Jesus and the Bible. We would have many conversations about our Lord. He was always so happy and singing up a storm listening to his headset as he helped with my projects. He is missed by all that knew him. He was so proud of his family. His children and grandchildren were his world. Prayers go out to his children. Know that your Dad was respected and liked by all that knew him. He made the world a better place.

To our children- The incredible strength you’re demonstrating during this time of tragic loss has me so extremely proud of you all. You have come together to support each other while handling all that is needed. I know your Dad is smiling down on you and is proud of you all. Your Dad had a big heart, a positive outlook on life, and lived by his own terms. Gone too soon, but I know you’ll always keep his memory alive in the stories you’ll pass on and the music he loved. Celebrate his life and all the crazy times you shared. He was one of a kind! Know that I’m always here for all of you, and I love you all MORE!
