Robert Henry Stanley Sr.

Robert was 82 years old and is survived by wife, and “love of his life” of 62 years, Judith Lanelle, four loving children, Robert Henry Stanley, Jr. (Vicky), Elizabeth Grace O’Keefe (Rick), Judith Lynn McQueeney (Charlie), and Broward Gregory Stanley (Kim), and two sisters Alice Pennington and Betty Peterson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Robert attended Landon High School before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later worked in road construction leading him to Chipley Florida before moving to Jacksonville and spending 58 years in the swimming pool industry. Robert leaves behind Stanley Pools Inc. where he served as President for over 30 years.

Robert was a family man and revered by all of his family. He loved fishing and hunting, but was best known for being Pop Pop. He attended and participated at his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and loved watching his family participate in athletics.

Robert was a jokster and loved people. He never met a stranger and all of his customers would consider him family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will hold a celebration of Robert’s life on December 21, 2021 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm followed by a funeral service at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 30223.
