Robert G. Sanders

Robert Gene Sanders, joined our Heavenly Father, his Wife, his Son, and his Father on Monday, December 22, 2014. Bobby passed away peacefully at age 78, in typical fashion, on his own terms. He was born on September 10, 1936 in Sanford, Florida. He moved to Lynchburg, Tennessee at an early age and then moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where he met his first love, Wanda Sue Earrey. Bobby and Sue married and led a wonderful life, raising two children, Robert G. Sanders Jr. (Spanky) and Kimberly Sue Sanders. Bobby was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather and a devout Christian. He was a member of the Jacksonville Shriners and a Mason. Bobby was a Master Electrician and Co-Owner of Coastal Electric Company of Florida. Bobby enjoyed Flying, Fishing, Hot Rods, and spending time with his two Granddaughters, who he worshipped and adored. He is preceded in death by his beloved Wife Sue, his Son Spanky, and his Father Robert H. Sanders. He is survived by his mother Esther Sanders, his brother Thomas J. Sanders, sister in law Sylvia Sanders, his loving Daughter, Kimberly Sue Parker, son in law Terry Parker, and the apples of his eye, his granddaughters Lela Shadden Parker and Margaret Kate Parker. His is also survived by his latest love Verdain Mullis, his sister in law Fran Tyre, brother in laws Larry and Duke Earrey, and beloved mother in law Aileen Earrey, many nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and other relatives. Please join us in celebration of his life on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 7673 Collins Road, Jacksonville, FL 32244 at 11:00 am. A brief service will be held, immediately followed by lunch and then graveside services at 2:00pm. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, in his name, would be greatly appreciated.
