Robert Lamar Rogers

Robert Lamar Rogers, age 77, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Robert was born on April 19, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida to Cecil and Katherine Rogers. He was a kind and patient loving man who had many interests, mainly photography, woodworking, nature, and travel. He also served in the United States Army. Robert was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be sorely missed by those who loved him.

Robert is preceded in death by his beloved first spouse, Sandra S. Rogers; one son, Glen A. Rogers; and one sister, Linda Rogers Steele. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Mary Pat ; three sons, Robert (Tammy), Kevin (Kathy), and Jonathan (Melissa); one daughter, Jennifer (Joshua); grandchildren Doug, Heather, Casey, Katie, Maya, Lindsey, Addison, and Jacob; great-grandchildren Trenton, Parker, Landon, Bryson, Jaxson, and Bentley; one brother, Richard Rogers; and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2014 at 11:30am at Town and Country Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, or the Donna Hicken Foundation.
