He grew up in a navy family traveling the world from Spain to Puerto Rico before settling in Jacksonville, FL. Graduated from Nathan Bedford Forest High School in 1969. Served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. Graduated from Florida Junior College with a degree in Data Processing Sciences in 1977, and attained a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Almeda University in 2004.
Married Diana Lynn Koester on November 26th 1977. Became a father with the birth of Crystal on December 4th 1982, and again with James on January 13th 1984.
Worked 45+ years in various evolving forms of Information Technology. The most recent companies being: CSX, Infosys, MBO Partners (CSX Acct), Fidelity Information Services, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Diana; children, Crystal and James; sister, Mary(Emil); an abundance of loving extended family; and a myriad of loyal friends who he loved as family.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until service time at the funeral home.
