A native of Jacksonville, Bobby was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Mercer.
He graduated from Englewood High School (1970), where he was known for being a great surfer and an all around ladies man. He enjoyed golfing, grilling, and cruising in his convertible.
His sense of humor and contagious laugh always lit up the room, he will be sorely missed by all.
He is survived by his loving son Joey, his brother, Thomas Mercer II; his sister, Jane M. Price, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 27, 2018 in Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, followed by interment in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
