Robert W. McMillen

Robert Wayne McMillen, 90, passed away on September 16, 2015 at Heartland Care Center in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by family. He was born in South Bend, IN on August 11, 1925 to the late William Wayne and Eva Bertha Clark McMillen. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He believed in hard work and twice retired after 21 years in the United States Navy and 12 years with Florida Department of Corrections. He loved his Lord, his Country and above all his family. He was a member of Edgewood Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Eileen McMillen. He is predeceased by his step-son Herbie Davis and predeceased by his daughter Susan Heath. He is survived by his step-daughter Sherry Davis. Robert has four grandchildren Robert Barr, Jennifer Shepherd, Joshua Davis and Joseph Smith; one great-grandchild Ryan Shepherd. He is predeceased by his brother Donald McMillen.

Pastor Dr. H. Watson Moody of Edgewood Heights Baptist Church will officiate the funeral service. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation on Tuesday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:00 am and the interment immediately following at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park.
