Robert Seitner Martinez Sr.

Robert Seitner Martinez, Sr., he took his walk with the Lord on Friday, July 19, 2013. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 27, 1928 to Tony, and Lena Martinez. Robert was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville Florida. He was raised on a farm. He was a carpenter by trade. For many years he had his own business RS Martinez Painting and Repairs. He worked in the capacity of Superintendent on many construction jobs. He then worked in the Maintenance Department at Jacksonville General Hospital and Memorial Hospital when he retired at age 66. He worked part time for many years at Globe Security. He was very dedicated to his family. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Tony and Lena Martinez; his wife, of 56 years Virginia Maxine; his son, David Glenn Martinez, and five brothers, Tony, Manuel, Albert, Sam and Harold. He is survived by his 5 children, 2 daughters, Elaine Caudill (Gary) of Jacksonville, FL, and Rhonda Tingle (George) of Edison, NJ; his 3 sons, Robert Martinez Jr. (Cindi) of Jacksonville, FL, Jerald Jeffrie Martinez (Chrissy) of Edison, NJ., and Ronald Stephen Martinez of Jacksonville, FL; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; his 3 brothers, John, Leo, and Halle Martinez; 2 sisters, Mary Dimaggio and Patricia Goddard all of Jacksonville, FL.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family visitation to greet friends will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL., 32244. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 2:00pm, July 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Blanding Funeral Home. Burial will be at Jacksonville Memory Gardens of Orange Park, Florida.
