Mr. Robert L. Martin, 82, passed away September 25, 2011. A native of Montezuma, IL, he had been a resident of Jacksonville, FL, for more than 60 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Martin, daughters, Betty Solomon and Judy West, and a son, Dennie Lee Sarles. He was honorably discharged after serving in the U S Navy and was a retiree from NADEP, at NAS Jax.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Vivian Martin; a daughter, Cheryll A. Kimbrell (Denny); a sister, Jesse Barclift; numerous grandchildren, including Jason and Kevin Kimbrell, Belinda Kott, Regina Hyers, and Steven Christiansen; and numerous great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held TODAY, from 6 until 8 PM, at the Town and Country Chapel. The funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
