Robert Kenneth Leonard

A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Robert graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, and later worked for the Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA). He served more than 30 years in various roles at JEA, and loved every minute he worked there. Following his retirement, Robert continued serving the city-owned utility as a contractor. When not working, he could be found on the golf course – a sport Robert passionately enjoyed.

Robert was predeceased by his mother, Florence Looper, father, Conway Leonard, step-father, Alex Looper, sister Constance Boswell, and brothers James Leonard and Charles Leonard. He is survived by his brother, C. Richard Leonard (Virginia) and sisters, Nancy Gabbard (Tom) and Joan Block. Robert is also survived by his nephews Todd Leonard, Chip Leonard, Eric Taylor, Vic Leonard, and Chris Leonard, and niece Susan Leonard Nelson.

A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please consider making a charitable contribution to Mayo Clinic.
