Robert Franklin Drummond, age 70, passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on Thursday, August 23, 2012 in Jacksonville, FL. Robert was born May 22, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida to James Drummond and Mary (Kristoff) Drummond. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Robert also enjoyed spending many hours with his family and friends. He was employed as a longtime Drywall finisher for King Drywall Company. Robert is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Soundra Drummond; his three loving children John Mark Drummond(Jeri), Robert Aaron Drummond, and Shannon Dion Fail; one sister Raenae R. Misch (John); twelve grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A Celebration of life memorial service will be held Sunday, August 26, 2012at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
