Robert William Tyler Cole, 26 years old, passed on August 9th, 2018, in Jacksonville, Florida. Tyler had many passions, one of which was football. He played from the age of 6 years old until he became the wide receiver for Sandalwood High School. Tyler was a big Colts fan and loved to watch the games with his grandma! GO COLTS!! Shortly after High School, Tyler obtained his Captain's License in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Tyler also enjoyed the beach and was a lifeguard. He was in the process of completing his HVAC training.
Tyler touched so many lives. He was known for his personality, commanding presence, and everyone turned his way when he walked into a room. He was perfectly imperfect. With no effort and few words, he made us all laugh. He was fun to be around and he knew just how good looking he was...
He was energetic, powerfully curious, and fearless by nature. He had a charming demeanor, quick-witted, and sharp as a tack. Tyler had a keen eye for everything he encountered along the way. A practical joker would be wary of him. No one, family or friend, was immune. He loved his family so much, from wrestling with Dad, shopping and spending mom's money, and being Ashley's side kick. The love of his life was his son, Jayce Tyler Cole. Tyler will live on through Jayce. We can honor Tyler by raising Jayce and teaching him about his father. Even though Tyler fought many battles we are comforted knowing he was saved at a young age and we will see him in Heaven one day.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Teresa Shumaker and Brad Cole; step-father, Rene Shumaker; son, Jayce Tyler Cole; sister, Ashley Lane (Kip Lane); step-sister, Jessica Haspel (Bobby Haspel); grandparents, Robert and Donna Deardorff, Sam and Pat Cole, Jacquelyn Moreton; nephews, Konnor Lane, Brayden Haspel; aunts, Kelly Hollinger (Robert Hollinger), Crystal Broach, Amy Cole Garrison (Chrissy Garrison) and loved by many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:30pm to 8:00pm on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home. The Celebration of Tyler's Life will be at 10:00am on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home followed by interment at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
