He was born in Jacksonville, Fl on October 14, 1950.
Richard (Rick) graduated from Paxon Senior High School in 1969. He played football with Paxon Eagles.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Charles R Brown Jr and Helen Dean Roberts Brown Rester
McCue.
Rick is survived by his lovely long- time companion Sonya Scott, his son Christopher Lee Brown (Amber), of Oklahoma; one step-daughter Andrea Williams (Nathan), Teresa Louise Hand, Michael Wayne Brown, Victoria Brown Chapman (Paul Sr) all of Jacksonville. He had 2 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 2 great granddaughters, bunches of nieces and nephews that he cared deeply for. And a great many friends; and great nieces and nephews.
Richard worked with his Dad in Brown Construction at the beginning of his career. Rick worked at the Jacksonville Shipyards as a welder until the shipyards closed. After working in other shipyards up and down the East Coast, he returned to Jacksonville, to find other employment such as a cook, or chef in the Jacksonville area restaurants.
Ricky had a passion for fishing. He would get up before daybreak and let the sun go down from a long day of fishing. He loved his family, friends, and would give anything to help another.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 12 noon. Visitation for viewing is at 11:00 a.m.
