He was Born in Lake Butler, Fl to Ressie Waters Sr and Louise Dixon. He married Lavon Waters on July 2nd, 1952. He was a carman for Fruit Growers Express. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, socializing, and being with his family. He was a dedicated deacon at Lannie Road Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father Ressie Waters Sr, mother Louise Dixon,
brothers Bill Waters, James M Waters, David Waters, and Jerald Dicks.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Lavon Waters, sons Ricky Waters (Anita)
and Terry Waters (Eva), grandchildren Erik Waters (Heather), Sheena Broughton, and Lisa Sikes (Evan), great-grandchildren Tone, Kylee, Madison, Jenna, Aslynn, Aleigha, Brooklynn, and Kiera, his sisters Mildred Gregory and Jone Welch and brother Joe Dicks.
A visitation for Ressie will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Lannie Rd Baptist Church, 5998 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
