Ray Albert Hutchins

Ray was born on December 21, 1933 in Boston, Massachusetts to Harold and Barbara Hutchins. Ray served in the Navy as a corpsman and retired after a successful career at Cuna Mutual Group. Ray was a devoted father and husband.

Ray’s love for his family, golfing, fishing, watching college football and sharing good times with friends were important to him. Ray enjoyed several summers spent at his summer camp in Rangely, Maine surrounded by good friends, playing golf, watching sports on TV, but he especially looked forward to hosting his annual Super Bowl parties with family and friends. Ray was a charter member of the St. Johns County Golf Course and a member of the Men's Association. Highlights of his retired years include visiting the Florida Keys, Alaska, taking annual cruises and sharing an evening cocktail with friends. He looked forward to spending time on Sundays with his son’s family as they enjoyed being together as a family.

Ray is survived by his girlfriend Sally Arsenault, his son, Ray Hutchins (Cathy), his grandchildren, Ryan Hutchins (Charis) and Christi Pfaff (Kevin), and 3 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Barbara, daughter Karen, and sister Ruth Moore.

Ray will make his final journey to Maine where he will be buried next to his wife and daughter. A celebration of his life will take place in Maine during the summer of 2023.
