Three angels, Janet Drew Fowler, age 10 months, Rachel Ellen Fowler, age 2 years, and Richard Clayton Fowler, age 4 years, and their grandmother, Sheila Rachel Swearingen, age 53, are spending eternity together after succumbing to a house fire on June 17, 2014.
The children are survived by parents, Richard and Jennifer Smith Fowler, and a sister, Hattie LeeAnn Fowler, of Jacksonville, and half brothers, Johnny and George Fowler. Also surviving them is grandfather, Alva Clayton Wood, aunt, Shawnee Irene Black, and aunt, Maria Nash. Great aunts, C. J. Halle and Victoria Ness of Jacksonville, as well as cousins, Madeline Faith Deas, Charles Allen Deas, Jr., Nadine Elizabeth Black, Johnnie Nash, and Shawn Nash, as well as many other family and friends.
Sheila is survived by her fiancé, Anthony Lee Banks, daughters, Shawnee Irene Black of Jacksonville, and Jennifer Lynn & Richard Fowler of Jacksonville. Also surviving are brother, Earl Carl Smith III of Jacksonville, sisters, C. J. Halle and Victoria ness, both of Jacksonville, Grandchildren, Hattie LeeAnn Fowler, Nadine Elizabeth Black, Madeline Faith Deas, Charles Allen Deas, Jr., and step grandchildren, Johnny and George Fowler.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Hardage Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. from 6pm – 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 10amin the chapel of Hardage Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
