She was born in Bohol, Philippines in 1955 to Macaria and Pacomio Galve and was the 4th born of 5 sisters. Procula, or Proly as everyone called her, attended and graduated from Lyceum of the Philippines University with a Bachelor’s degree on Foreign Services in 1979. She got a job at Philippines National Bank in 1981, where she met her loving husband, Eugenio Mombay, who she preceded in death. She is also survived by her two children, Ernest and Eula Mombay and three sisters in the Philippines.
Proly was a loving mother to Ernest and Eula. She was always there for them, guiding and supporting them. Her move to the US in 1999 was driven by her desire to provide for them. Before moving, she loved taking care of her extended family: Elsie and Emma.
Proly was a devout Catholic throughout her life. She sponsored Brother Abraham to priesthood and continued her attendance to church every week.
To further support her family, she started and managed her own business with her husband, Tangkilikin Natin Fil-Am Services LLC from Dec. 2015 to April 2024.
Proly also took special joy in traveling. Her adventures took her to Japan, Singapore, the UK, France, Canada, to name a few places. She made unforgettable memories with those she traveled with.
While at home, she took great pleasure in attending to her garden. Seeing the full blooms around the house gave her great pride.
