Philip Norman Shepard Sr., 80, passed away on June 28 2015 after 13 years of Alzheimer’s. He was born on August 16 1934 in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Jacksonville School of Technology in 1953 and served in the Army in the 82nd Air Bourne Division. Philip is preceded in death by his mother Virginia Keeter Shepard and father William Joseph Shepard. Philip is survived by his wife Mildred Barrett Shepard of 61 years, 2 sons Philip “Buddy” Shepard and William “Wes” Shepard and also 2 daughters Virginia “Ginger” Shepard and Deborah “Debbie” Shepard, along with 2 grandson’s; Jesse and Nicolas Keller, and 2 granddaughters; Ashlee and Kimberlee Shepard, and a brother Ken Shepard. Philip never met a stranger. Philip was a good husband and father and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Family will receive friends on Thursday July 2nd, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Town and Country Funeral Home, and the funeral service will be held on Friday July 3rd at 10:00 AM at Town and Country Funeral Home, a graveside service will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
