Percy (Bobby) Williams, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 22, 2012 after a long illness. He was born in Register, Georgia on November 20, 1937. He later moved to Savannah, Georgia. Percy met and married the love of his life Linda Williams and they were married for 49 years. Percy (Bobby) retired from the United States Navy as a chief with 21 years of service. He earned five Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expenditionary Service Medal, and Navy Achievement Medal. After retirement he worked for the Nuclear Power industry for several years before going to work for Weedon Engineering Company where he retired from in 2004. Bobby was a member of Hyde Park Masonic Lodge # 370, American Legion Post # 0400. He was member Woodstock Baptist Church, especially enjoying his Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his mother Leola Sapp and his step father Edward Sapp. Survivors were his loving wife Linda; two sons Michael and Jeffrey (April); granddaughter Brittany; one sister Judy Haire; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends and relatives 10:00 – 11:00 am, Saturday October 27, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A Funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. David Hill and Rev. Robert Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park
