Peggy Bridges Proctor

A native of Rocky Mount, NC, Mrs. Proctor had resided in Virginia Beach, VA before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1978. Before her retirement, she was employed with Wachovia Bank for 25 years in Jacksonville, FL and had been previously employed with Planters National Bank in Rocky Mount, NC. She was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include her son Rick Lewis of Jacksonville, FL, her brother James Bridges (Joyce) of Las Vegas, NV, 4 grandchildren Layla Kinder (David) of Havelock, NC, Brandon Powell of Jacksonville, FL, Joel Powell of Jacksonville, FL, Amanda Burris of Orlando, FL, 2 great-grandsons Cole and Ross Kinder of Havelock, NC, 3 nephews James Bridges III, John Clint Bridges and Jeff Bridges, and 2 great-nephews James Bridges IV and Jack Bridges. She was preceded in death by her husband James Proctor and her parents James Bridges Sr. and Marie Barnes Bridges.

A visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd, Jacksonville, FL (www.hardage-giddenschapelhills.com) on Wednesday Sept. 7 from 6-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions to be made to Community Hospice of NE FL, 4715 Worrall Way, Jacksonville, FL 32224.
