Pedro Negron passed away on 2/23/2016 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Pedro was the son of Gabriela Rodriguez and Santiago Negron, and husband of 47 years to the love of his life, Bibiana Negron. He was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico in1946 and grew up in Brooklyn, New York.
Pedro is a decorated Vietnam Vet with a Commendation medal for Valor. He served four tours in Vietnam and has always been proud of his service. He retired from the Navy after serving 22 years. He experienced many land and sea adventures throughout the world in his military career.
Pedro's number one passion was family. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, art, cooking, music, football, was known as a prankster and had a passion for DIY projects, building model ships and cars.
He was survived by his wife, Bibiana Elizabeth Negron and 5 kids - Pedro Negron Jr, Elizabeth Ward, Michael Negron, Tamara Chase, and Jose David Negron. He was also survived by 17 grandkids, 2 great grandkids, his mother Gabriela Rodriguez, his sister Betty Negron and many other beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Mayo Clinic, Lifecare of Jacksonville, Davita Regency Dialysis Center, Dr Oscar Rodas, Dr Naeem Heider for giving such great care, compassion and going above and beyond in doing everything you could to extend his life and keep him comfortable in his last days.
