Pedro was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and moved to Jacksonville, Florida.
He was more comfortable in one-on-one interactions, preferred quiet time when he could make time and he liked
to understand things before taking action. Pedro made his decisions based on feelings; he was very sensitive to the
feelings of others and would work to avoid any conflicts. Pedro would make his decisions, take the necessary action
required. Pedro was a kind, thoughtful, generous and loving man who deeply loved his wife and family.
Pedro is predeceased by his father and mother: Teofilo Claudio and Juanita Vazquez Claudio.
Pedro has five (5) siblings: Zaida Rivera; Juanita Arce; Roberto Claudio; Betty Matias and Jose Claudio.
Pedro is survived by his wife; Hilda Elisa Rivera Claudio. Pedro and Hilda were married in Paterson, New Jersey on November 29, 1958.
Pedro and Hilda have three (3) children: Vilma Millan; Norma Doughman and Pedro Claudio, Jr. Pedro is survived by six (6) grandchildren
and five (5) great grandchildren. Pedro will forever be remembered as: “Pello”; “Lo-Lo” and “Papi”.
There will be a visitation service on Sunday, February 21 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Funeral Home at 729 South Edgewood Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32205. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 22 at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Funeral Home at 729 South Edgewood Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
