Paul E. Hygema

Paul was born on March 3, 1939 in Beards Fork, WV. He served in the US Navy July 1956 to February 1960. He was partner at Sherwood Hardware from 1962-2002. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication and passion for helping others.

Paul enjoyed gardening, bird watching, music, wood working, swimming, reading and living his best life without fancy technology (his words). His faith and love for God never faltered, everyday began and ended with prayer.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Carolyn (McKinney) Hygema, brothers Walter Sr and Curtis Hygema.

Paul is survived by his children Melinda (Tom) Knott, Lori (Tracy) Barnwell, David (Sharon) Hygema and Stephen Hygema, siblings Guy and John Hygema and BettyLou White, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial service will be held
