Patty L. McClung, 90, of Jacksonville, FL passed suddenly on Saturday, September 12, 2020. She was born in Van Wert, OH on December 21, 1929 to Mattie Lou and Chester Linkhart. After her graduation from Columbia High School in Lake City, FL, she went on to provide 30 years of loyal service to AT&T as an overseas operator until her retirement in 1993. Patty deeply loved her family, her friends, and her football teams. But perhaps her greatest love of all was dancing. Just put on some music and she would dance from her heart. Patty is preceded in death by her son Neal McClung, her bother Ray Linkhart, and her sister Doris Eberhardt. She is survived by 3 children; Bob McClung (Cathy), Cindy Barrier (Bob), Patsy Barfield; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 beloved sisters, JoAnn Boyd and Betty Ann Devine. A graveside service will be held in her honor at 2pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Cemetery.
