
I apologize for being so late, but I just got back to Houston to hear this news.  The Hendersons were great people, and the whole family meant so much to the Tolsons.  I know Pat is in heaven and dancing up a storm!  Rest in Peace.  

Whenever I think of Pat I hear Milk Cow Blues by Bob Wills playing in the background, and see her dancing across the floor and smiling that wonderful ‘light up the room’ smile of hers.  Her voice was always full of enthusiasm and so encouraging to anyone. She was always interested in what you were doing or what you had to say. It will never be the same here and the house just feels so empty without her.

If you knew her, you were instantly a little better for having known her. She loved people, especially family and friends, and especially the Lord. Even if she just met you, she showed a genuine interest in you. I remember once in recent months while enjoying one of the musical sessions at The Bragans, she was one of last to call it a night as she was enjoying the music but also engaging in great conversation with many she didn’t even know that well. It didn’t matter . She embraced life. Sharp, quick-witted, but a heart as big as the Atlantic Ocean. Thank you Peter snd Nancy for allowing us to get to know Miss Pat. I know how she so touched your lives. She touched ours too! I will always be reminded of her on this day as I lost my mom six years ago today. They would have loved each other. Prayers with you both as you begin this new journey now, Well done ... a good and faithful servant, Miss Pat.

What a fabulous and lovely lady you were Pat! You and your amazing smile will be greatly missed!

But I do have one story to tell about one of our “adventures” ... this was probably over 20 years ago…
A couple of our younger girlfriends got all us tickets to see Willie Nelson in an outdoor venue in Stillwater one summer evening.  And we knew what a Willie Nelson fan you were!  One of those girlfriend’s boyfriend promised that if we used his name that we could get backstage because he was of “friend” of Willie’s. We had a great girl’s road trip that night but every time we tried to drop his name to the security people, they basically told us to get lost.  We were about ready to give up and then… All of the sudden Pat had got us past security (not sure how) and we were actually taken ON the stage with Willie and the band for the last set.  We danced and sang just behind the musicians on the stage until the show was over. This was long before we had cell phone cameras and though I wish I had a picture of that fun night; I will always remember what a great time we had and how we thought were such “hot” stuff on the stage with Willie.

Hi Nancy, so sorry to hear of your mother’s death.  I have heard so many nice things said about her by our Hyde Park friends.  Sympathy to you and your family.

In loving memory of my “Aunt Pat”. Though we lost contact for so many years I always retained loving memories of you, Bill and Nan. You were a big part of my early life. I was so happy to see you again after all those years of wondering where you were and what you were doing. I am grateful for the little time we had together and I will always love and remember you.
