Patricia Jane Hancock Dye, age 83, passed into our Father’s capable hands on January 28, 2016 in Jacksonville, Florida after a valiant battle with cancer. Pat was born in Montgomery, West Virginia to George Montgomery and Catherine Beck Hancock. She was a graduate of West Virginia University and a lifelong educator. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Garland Dye. Pat is survived by her three children, Mark Montgomery Dye (Tania) of Jacksonville, Florida, Richard Douglas Dye (Faustine) of Chesterfield, Virginia, and Kimberly (Matt) Schoger of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The Reverend Jerome Hancock will officiate services at Hardage Giddens Oaklawn Chapel and Cemetery on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to either the Wounded Warrior Project or The American Cancer Society.
