Patricia was born in Portsmouth, VA on October 23, 1934 and as a child, the family moved to Rocky Mount, NC. As a teenager the family moved to Jacksonville, FL where she attended and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. She married Robert Newton Howell on September 18, 1954. They raised 7 children. In 1959, they started R.N. Howell Co., later named Howell Business Forms, Inc. from where they retired in 1997. She was a devout Catholic and member of the Assumption Catholic Church, Atlantic Blvd. for 62 years where she was called to many ministries, but was best known for meticulously maintaining the sanctuary linens for 45 years.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Mary Estelle Walker and Harry Dixon Parker, Sr., also 3 siblings, Betty Jane Parker Goff, Harry D. Jr. and Peter Morris Parker. She was also predeceased by her husband, Robert “Bob” Howell. She is survived by her sister, Paula Mistoler, (Leonard) and her 7 children, Patricia Lynne, Mary Claire (David Ainley), Robert Stephen, P. Michael (Tina), Matthew Kevin, Helen Elizabeth (Peter Casella) and George Parker Howell (Trisha), 9 granddaughters, 8 grandsons, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson, many nieces and nephews and their children. She will be missed by us all.
A visitation and rosary service for Pat will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, with a receiving of friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. A committal service will occur Saturday, November 19, 2022 after the funeral mass at 12:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow the graveside at Mojo's BBQ, 1607 University Blvd West, Jacksonville, FL.
