Patricia R. Gilbert, age 67, died at home on Sept. 12, 2013. She fought avaliant two year battle against brain cancer with the same strength, courage, cheerfulness and grace that she lived her life. Her faith was deep and her soul filled with music that she shared as pianist, choir member, conductor and hand bell ringer in the music ministry of Riverside Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, J. Sherrick Gilbert; her daughters Christine D. Smith and Stephanie D. Cairns; her step-children Lynne G. Airaghi, Lisa G. Emerson and David S. Gilbert; her mother Pearl S. Lewis; her sister Donna D. Rehbein and nine grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating her life and faith will be held at Riverside Presbyterian Church, 849 Park Street, Jacksonville, FL on Sept. 21, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the music ministry of Riverside Presbyterian Church.
