Olive E. Dodson, 86, of Jacksonville passed away on August 2, 2013. Olive is preceded by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years Clarence Dodson and parents Eula and Johnny Turner of Moultrie, GA. She is survived by her sons Clinton Dodson (Stephanie) and Calvin Dodson, and daughters Alma Watson (Tim) and Mary Dodson , brother Gordon Turner, 5 grandchildren, Sarah Naillon (Jeremiah), Charles Taylor (Sara) Erica Quals, Cayla Dodson, and Brandon Dodson and great-grandchild Eli Quals. She was a member of the Riverside Park United Methodist Church. Olive and Clarence loved family and children. They were foster parents for many years. She loved being a mom. Olive enjoyed spending time with her family, spoiling her children with love, and to crochet. She will be remembered for her love of family, kind heart, and determining spirit.
Family will receive friends and family from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday August 8, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday August 9, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral services at Riverside Memorial Park located at 7242 Normandy Blvd Jax., FL 32205.
