Norris Davis

Norris Davis, age 89, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012. Norris was born December 26, 1922 in Birmingham, Alabama to Joseph Thomas and Fannie (Calhoun) Davis. For years he traveled the roads as a truck driver for Ryder Truck Lines. When not on the road, Norris could be found in the fields farming or spending quality time with his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Jimmey Davis, four brothers, and five sisters. Survivors include his Loving wife of 64 years Lorene Davis; two devoted sons Charles Davis (Maggie) and Kim Davis (Shirley); eight grandchildren Aaron Davis (Brittany), Austin Davis, Anthony Davis, Jackson Davis, Bennett Davis, Chris Davis (Brandy), Lori Chamberlain (Gregg), David Davis; seven great grandchildren. Family will receive family and friends from 12:00 – 2:00 pm on Friday October 19, 2012 at Jones Road Baptist Church, 2506 Jacksonville, Florida 32220. Funeral services will follow the visitation at the church at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
