I was fortunate to know Mr. Young not only as a student at Bolles but also as a medical assistant in oncology at Mayo Clinic. He fought so hard and was always exceptionally positive. He always put a smile on my face when he came in. I’m so sorry to know he has passed but I also know he was at peace on his journey. Rest in peace Mr. Young.

Norman and I worked closely together at The Bolles School following his return to campus while Alice and I worked there. He quickly became a good friend to us both as well as a valued professional colleague. He found my first canoe for me and helped me transport it back to Jacksonville from Gainesville.  As colleague Ed Stopyra commented, he made many, many contributions to the campus at Bolles - most significant during my tenure was the first recommendation for the location eventually chosen for the Bent Student Center.  We send our sympathy and condolences to his family and fellow friends.

My deepest condolences to the family and close friends of Norman Young. Norman and I worked for many years together at The Bolles School. Norman was the mastermind of so many of the projects on the different campuses of Bolles and was always a true professional in all that he did! He was also a kind and caring gentleman, and will be missed by many!

To the family and Rudy,  Norman came into our family gathering and holidays when I was very young.  He was a very good friend of my uncle Buddy (Riley) and Victor the dog.   Many Many Christmas and holiday memories.   Many prayers and condolences.       Rest Easy Norman.

We have had the privilege of knowing Norman for almost 50years.  Norman was a very thoughtful person and it was an honor to know him.  The memories of having him around for holidays and other special occasions will be treasured.  We will miss his unique wisdom and sense of humor, and of course his green thumb.
Rest in peace my friend.

Saying goodbye isn't for us. Instead, I will say that I look forward to seeing my friend again, each time I am reminded of you through a phrase, a joke, even an article of clothing. These are the things that will keep us close despite death.  I am better for knowing you, better for loving you, better for having met you. May you be as blessed in the next life, my friend, as I was in this one by knowing you.

Norm, I truly enjoyed the time i shared with you guys.   You will be missed…

We’re going to really miss you, Norm. Cookie always enjoyed spending time with you every time we had a chance to come over to Jacksonville, especially when I had to travel. This is gonna be so odd not being able to come by and hang out and stay over and enjoy the company. I pray for your calm and peace now. I know you’re in a better place.
