Norma Louise Horne

Norma Louise Horne, age 78, passed away on December 28, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. Norma was born on August 9, 1939 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Norman and Hazel Singletary. She worked for and retired from Grimes Distribution after 28 years of service. Norma was a longtime member since 1980 of Westside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Norma will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her for her love of Christ, her selflessness, and her desire to brighten the day of anyone who came into contact with her.

Norma is preceded in death by her loving husband Willie “Bill” Horne, her father Norman Singletary, and her mother Hazel Barrett. Norma is survived by her daughters Sheryl Brazier (James) and Michelle Brantley; grandchildren Melinda Richie (Eddie), Melanie Terrill (Jerry), Mark Williams (Shannon), Mackenzi Brazier, Kodi Brazier, Vicki Maxfield, Jacob Maxfield (Kissy), and Stephen Maxfield (Kim); great-grandchildren Kyler, Alden, and Jocelyn Richie, Kaylee and Gage Terrill, Vanessa and Gabriel Maxfield, and Olivia Maxfield.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Reverend Ray Mayfield will serve as officiant. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
