Noel A Snyder

Noel graduated from Spaulding High School in Rochester, N.H. in 1951. He enlisted in the US. Navy that same year and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He received the Navy Good Conduct Medal at the Atlantic Fleet Headquarters in Norfolk, Va.

He married the love is his life, Nancy Roberta Gearhart on August 18, 1957. After leaving the Navy, he was employed by the Seaboard Railroad. Noel and his family moved to Jacksonville in 1968 with the Seaboard Coastline merger, now the CSX Railroad. He retired from CSX after 36 years of service. Then in 2001 they moved to Glenmoor Retirement Community in St. Augustine (now Westminster).

Noel was a charter member of the Village Church at World Golf Village. He was a Navy Veteran and a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge of Rochester, N.H.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Snyder, two children Cheryl Stohler (John) and Glenn Snyder (Roxi), three grandchildren Matthew (Krista) and Julie Stohler and Allison Snyder, and one great-grandson, Finn Allen Stohler.

Visitation will be from 10-11am on Thursday March 26,2020 in the Sanctuary of Memories at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, 32207. A private family graveside service will follow starting at 11.
