On behalf of my husband and I, we wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Jordan family, as well as his partner, Ms. Regan Jones. We had the pleasure of meeting and corresponding with Mr. Jordan because he was our son's teacher at Kernan Middle School. Christian is on the Autism spectrum, and Mr. Jordan was so kind to him, and understanding. We could always depend on him for communication regarding Christian's progress and any issues that may have arisen.  

He was fair and cared a great deal for the students that he assisted. We just found out about his passing, because he was not scheduled to be Christian's teacher this year. In the short year that we knew him, we told him on more than one occasion how much we appreciated him. It's hard to find people like him, in my humble opinion. He was a good man, and it breaks my heart that he left this world far too soon. He was also one of Christian's favorite teachers. 

The entire Jordan family will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to the family. Mr. Jordan was such a wonderful teacher and all around person. 



Mr. Jordan was one of the best teachers I've ever worked with. He was truly an amazing person, who made a positive impact on          everyone around him. His dedication and commitment to his work was truly admirable. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he was also a kind and caring soul. I will always remember how he used to hold my bag and my coffee cup during lessons because I left them behind when I managed to help out a student, I remember I used to laugh when I saw him putting my purse around his neck but at the same moment I used to feel so admirable because he was that much kind and caring. It is never 
easy to say goodbye, Mr. Jourdain. I am praying for you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear that your beautiful Nick passed away.   Darlene told me about getting to see him and his wife during your recent vacation and how much she enjoyed spending time with them. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Most of us knew Mr. Jordan as a gentle giant when in the school setting: he was calm, beyond patient, and understanding. He has the most natural ability to connect with students and give advice that would impress any therapist or parent.
He was also a perfectionist. He often told me he didn’t like doing things twice, so if I could just be absolutely clear then once was the goal.  I would laugh, and tell him he reminded me of a duck on a pond: so calm on the surface but churning so hard underneath.  This trait made him really good at his job- he cared about quality work and providing quality education. Never one to half do something. 
My last memory of him at school was watching him trip while running after a student and ending up in a penguin belly slide down the hall, past my office door. 
To Mr. Jordan’s family, you did well. You raised a quality human being. He was a great teacher, a wonderful coworker, and a loyal friend.
To the love of his life, he was truly happy and content in this world because of you. He was head over heels in love.
Mr. Jordan, we promise to keep your spot at the back door of 5 during dismissal, we promise to feed your hangry students, to provide a listening ear, and to most importantly step up to make you proud.

I was lucky enough to teach alongside Nick for a few years. He was a good teacher because he loved kids. He was a kid at heart and he enjoyed talking about whatever they came in with, whether it be about movies, cereal, conspiracy theories, whatever. I’ll think about him and I’ll smile after this sadness fades. He made so many young lives better because he cared. I would offer to take kids off his hands whenever one of them was really struggling. He never took me up on those offers. Nick was always ready to go down with whatever ship he was trying to save. I will remember him as good, kind teacher and friend. So will his students. Mr. Jordan will live on in them. 

Nick will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure to know them! He was such a kind and thoughtful human being! He bought shoes for a student when their shoes had a hole in them and helped students be the best versions of themselves! He was such a wonderful teacher and I am so grateful that I knew him! His family is in my thoughts and prayers! 

One day Jordan and I sat in Ms. Milly office to have a rap session. We both just vented to her about our feelings and mindset in the classroom. Jordan was genuine, a nice guy and awesome teacher, he will be greatly missed.

So very sorry to hear of Mr. Jordan's passing.  He has been a friend, a confidant, a compassionate person to my grandson. He was kind and generous with his care and time. I'm sure his students will all miss him greatly. Thank you for sharing him with them. He will be missed by Christopher for sure. Prayers for your family.

Mr. Jordan was what one could describe as a "gentle giant".  I had the honor of having him be part of my classroom for 2 years and my husband had the honor this last year. He helped get me through some really difficult days with some difficult behaviors from students with his calm attitude and perspective. Mr. Jordan, thank you for teaching me so much. You showed me daily how to teach with grace, patience and dignity.  Thank you for being a father figure to so many kids. And thank you so much for your daily kindness. I'm so happy you were able to make it last summer to Mammoth Caves. I pray that you have peace now and I pray for all your family, friends and students that are all going to miss you so terribly.

To the Jordan Family...my deepest sympathy and I want to let you all know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  Mr. Jordan was a huge positive influence to me last year at Kernan Middle School.
