Nancy Kay Weyer Walker, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 4, 2023 after a long hard fight with Dementia. Nancy was born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 6, 1940 at St Vincent's Riverside Hospital to the late Jack and Frances Weyer. Nancy was the youngest of the 7 Weyer children, she cherished her siblings dearly and loved being a Weyer.
Nancy went to Robert E Lee high school and was head majorette her Junior year. She was a very talented seamstress and was known for sewing beautiful wedding dress, children’s clothing, baby blankets, and was a very talented hand seamstress. During her life time she cherished her many different animals and always had many pets. Her joy was raising, showing, and selling Miniature Schnauzers and Yorkshire Terriers. Nancy always enjoyed visiting with people and she loved staying busy. She kept a clean house and welcomed visitors in to her home with a glass of sweet tea and a place to sit and catch up. Nancy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father, John J. Weyer, her mother, Frances S. Weyer, her first husband Vernon R. Roberts, her second husband Ingram L. Walker, her brothers: Jack Weyer, Terry Weyer, Bob Weyer, and Bill Weyer, her sisters: Shirley Draper, and Betty Kelly, and her step daughter Cathy McRae.
She is survived by her children: daughter, Candy Parker (Robert), daughter, Cindy Hadick (Alfred), son, Vernon Roberts (Sheila), son, Jack Roberts, daughter, Wendy Dasher (Deron), step daughter, Vicky Marlee (Tommy), step son, Ricky Walker (Jeanette), 24 grand children, numerous great-grand children, nieces, nephews, and cousins..
A visitation for Nancy will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
