Nancy Braxton Richards

She is survived by her children, Kathie Richards Soucy and Kevin Reynold Richards, both of Fernandina Beach, FL and Tom Richards (Lora) of Cleveland, TN; one granddaughter, Emily Beaddles (Isiah) from Tucson Az; a beloved cousin, Wallace Cottrell of Oxford, NC, along with many cousins in Henderson and Oxford, NC. Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Richards and her parents William "Oscar" and Ethel Culbreth, her brothers James "Jim" Culbreth and William "Bill" Culbreth.

Nancy was from Durham, NC and attended Durham High School. After marrying Bob, the family moved to several locations throughout the southeast including Savannah GA and Savannah TN, finally settling in Orange Park, FL in 1977. Nancy loved North Carolina basketball and the beach; she enjoyed quilting and was an early member and historian of the Friendship Quilt Guild of Orange Park for many years.

The family would like to thank Savannah Grand of Amelia Island and Concierge Home Health for their excellent care of their mother.

A graveside service will be held in memory of Nancy on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218. Guests are asked to please line up in Lane 2 at 10:45 AM.

Guests are invited toattend a lunch at the home of Kathie Soucy and Kevin Richards, immediately following the service.
