Myrtle (Granny) was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Franklin Paul Walden; a daughter Frankie Lee Walden Fewox; brothers Roy and Gus Pitts; and her parents, John Hardy Pitts and Noma Jean (Jones) Pitts Mattox.
She is survived by daughter June Marie Daniels (Carl) of Saint John’s FL; sisters Helen Louise Hankins (J.T.) of Duluth, GA, and Dorothy Maxine Fletcher of Tallahassee, FL; brother Homer Gene Mattox (Joanne) of Tallahassee, FL;
7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at West Jacksonville Health and Rehab for her care of over 8 years. Of the staff she often said “I have not found a mean one yet!”
Our appreciation to Northeast Florida Community Hospice for her care and the compassion she was shown.
