Myron W. Setzler, 78, of Orangedale, FL, went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2011. A native of Minnesota, he was the youngest of two sons born to Everett and Florence Setzler of Anoka, MN. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; son, David Setzler; daughter, Linda Ennen (husband, Joseph and children, Timothy, Rachel and Michael) and daughter, Judy Mann (husband, Dale Mann and children, Nancy and Caroline). He is also survived by his brother, Milton Setzler (wife, Dorothy and children, Barb, Bruce and Brad). Myron was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. He served as a deacon for First Covenant Church of New Brighton, MN and for the First Baptist Church of Parkers Prairie, MN. In 1950, he graduated from Anoka High School and went on to receive a BA degree in Business Administration from Hamline University, followed by a stint in the US Army. He became a buyer for Land-O-Lakes creameries. His remaining working career was as an agent and then general agent for the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company where he was awarded the Penn Mutual Agency Building Award. He received his CLU degree, served as President of the Minneapolis General Agent and Managers Board and was also President of the Minneapolis Chapter of Associates of General Agents and Mangers. He received the National Management Award for Agency Building several times. Myron enjoyed golfing, having played for the State champion Anoka High School team and Hamline University. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. The Funeral Service will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, March 26th in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. A private interment will be held in Orangedale Cemetery.
